To create your first journal, scroll down to the Journals section your dashboard, enter a name in the Journal Name field, and click the ‘Create Journal’ button.

Once you click create journal, the page will refresh and you will now see your journal listed under the Journals section.

You can now access your journal by clicking the Open button next to the name of your journal.

Exporting Your Journal #

Tradecraft allows users to export their journals in the event they wish to maintain a local copy, send in to support, or upload to another journal platform. All data is exported in the standard csv format for easy portability.

To export a journal, open the journal from your dashboard, then click on the gear icon on the left navigation menu to access the settings screen.

Click on export to bring up the export options screen.

From here, you can select a date range in the From and To fields to select how much of your data you wish to export. If you have trades that have multiple legs that you wish to have listed as separate trades, then tick the checkbox for ‘Ungroup trades with multiple legs’.

Deleting a Journal #

To delete your journal, simple scroll down to the Journals section and click the Delete button next to your journal. Please note that deleting a journal is permanent, and all data contained within that journal will be deleted and is not recoverable.
