New Custom Script Widget
You can now create a “script” widget that will allow you to run custom javascript code in your dashboard. The script has access to your trades and tags under the tcTrades and tcTags global variables. You can even import external libraries from a cdn using the importLibrary function. This means that you can use libraries like chartjs (https://www.chartjs.org/) to create amazing custom visualizations. The sky is the limit with this new type of widget. Keep in mind that it is still experimental, so please report issues you have in the bug-report channel of our Discord server, or by submitting a bug report through our contact form. Right now we don’t have any knowledge base articles or tutorials on this, but we will provide some starter examples soon.

  1. You can now set how many seconds before/after the entry/exit you want the video to start playing in the book of charts
  1. You can now collapse the trades table in the journal, as well as all the different sections like trade data, tags, screenshots etc.

  1. You can now clone journals by clicking the “clone” button in your dashboard
  1. You can now rename journals by clicking the “rename” button (I just noticed a typo on the rename modal, sorry about that)
  1. You can now set the timezone that will be used to display all dates in your journal. Go to settings -> general settings
  1. I made some improvements to the book of charts widget

We don’t want you to feel like your trading data is locked into the journal. We want our users to take ownership of their data, which is why you can now export all of your trades (with tags included) as a .csv file. You can find this new functionality in the settings -> export section of your journal. In the future, I want to implement some sort of pdf exporter that will also include trade notes, screenshots and links to YouTube sessions. I know a lot of people would enjoy that, and it would ensure that if you decide to stop using Tradecraft you won’t lose all that precious data.

  1. Attach screenshots to trades: You can now upload screenshots and attach them to trades. Use the new screenshot section below your tags in the journal. Basic users can attach up to 2 screenshots per trade, premium users can attach up to 5. The screenshots will be used in the future to create a “Book of Charts” page, where you will be able to see all your screenshots in one place and apply filters like you do in your dashboard widgets. This will be a very cool feature to discover patterns in your trading, stay tuned for upcoming updates on this.
  1. YouTube integration: This will revolutionize daily reviews for many of our traders. If you stream your session to YouTube for later review like fatcat does, you can now link the YouTube video in the journal. Tradecraft will automatically figure out the timestamp of your trades within the video, and display it in the “daily trades” section of your journal. The video will automatically start at the entry time of whatever trade you selected. Tomorrow I will add the ability to specify a “shift” in seconds, in case you want to have the video start a few seconds before you actually opened the trade. You can learn more about this feature here.

  1. For SIERRA CHART users: The TradeCraft real-time indicator for sierra chart is now live as an experimental feature. You can download it from you user dashboard at Tradecraft.club. This indicator, when added to a chart, will sync your trades in real time with your journal. Note that it will only sync the trades that you take on the symbol attached to the chart, so if you trade multiple symbols, you should add it to each chart. It will automatically group trades from flat-to-flat. NOTE: The flat-to-flat feature currently works only with live market data. If you are trading a replay, the indicator will still work but multi-legged trades will show up as separate trades. You need to download the .dll file and put it in your Sierra Chart “Data” folder. It will show up inside the “Custom Studies” menu. Then you need to fill out the study inputs with the information you find in your dashboard (username, journal url, and API key). Learn how to use this study and configure it here.
  1. For RITHMIC users: A new version of Tradecraft Beacon is available, please download and re-install the file from your user dashboard. The most recent version is v1.0.2
  1. New feature: Clicking on the markers of an equity line chart will now take you to the corresponding trade in your journal. This also works with the “Trades Table” widget, just click anywhere on the trade row that you want to display.
